Our clutch and brake accessories are based around the success of our clients and many specialized needs that demand a modern solution. Contact our team for more information.
Available from Clutch Engineering, CCA's Anderson Keyless Clamp Hub is a quick and easy solution that is compatible with compressors, fans, pumps, and other mechanical applications. Industrial machinery can be equipped with this high-quality solution for virtually any shaft connection. These keyless clamp hubs can be integrated for your straight, keyed, hydraulic, tapered, or splined shaft needs. The Anderson clamp hub can be installed and removed easily, by only relying on the use of hand tools. This means that no heat or hydraulics required for installation and removal. These well-designed hub products can be used to mount Flexxor and UltraFlexx couplings, as well as fan blades, gears, brake discs, and much more. Due to the stresses that a keyway causes in a shaft, keyed shafts have to be larger to carry a given torque. Additionally, there are several other major advantages that the Anderson Clamp hub has over hydraulic hubs, since it uses no oil. Torque range: 1,875 to 8,020,500 lb-in (212 to 906,196 Nm) Typical applications: Compressors, fans, pumps, gas turbines, test stands
Clutch Engineering offers Eaton Airflex quick release valves (QRV) as a high-quality valve solution for many use cases. These products are three-way valves that are designed to allow for a faster exhaust of air out of your brake or clutch. This increase in the speed of air flow can enable faster cyclic rates and reduce any overlap between clutches and brakes. Optional muffler attachments are also available, for effectively reducing the exhaust noise of a system. Four basic valve sizes are available for these quick release valves. These are identified by the American National Pipe Thread on the cylinder port: 3/8", 1/2", 3/4" and 1" NPT. Models are also available with inlet ports that are compatible with pipe or tubing connections.
Clutch Engineering offers rotorseals from Eaton Airflex. These advanced rotorseals allow air or hydrolic fluids to be transferred from a stationary supply to a rotating shaft. The compatible air or fluids can be used to control clutches and brakes, lubrication, or cooling oil. For these products, the rotating seal is created and maintained by a non-metallic sealing ring, positioned tightly against the rotorseal shaft by a light spring force. The sealing ring is designed so that media pressure acts on both of its ends to minimize the force on the sealing surface. Rotorseals are available with single, dual, and triple passages to suit your specific mechanical needs.
Clutch Engineering offers Lovejoy shaft locking devices (SLD) that can connect hubs solidly to shafts in applications such as sheaves, sprockets, drive shafts, and more. These specially manufactured parts use a keyless mechanical interference fit. They also feature adjustable screw tension to expand the SLD to fill the gap between hub and shaft as needed. This option makes them easy to install and remove, and importantly, allows hubs to be positioned on the shaft accurately and effectively. The Lovejoy SLD 900 Shaft Locking Device is engineered to provide an efficient, high capacity, zero backlash, hub-to-shaft connection using a specialized mechanical interference fit. Torque range: 1.73 to 565,563 lb-ft (2.3 to 766,800 Nm) Typical applications: Sheaves, sprockets, gears, driveshafts, coupling mounting
Clutch Engineering offers TB Wood's Sure-Grip quick detachable (QD) bushings for use in applications such as sheaves, pulleys, sprockets, gears, and couplings. These precision engineered bushings are easy to install and remove, which increases the uptime of your machinery and supports your bottom line. Sure-Grip bushings provide more clamping force than many other bushings, thanks to a more gradual taper. The tapered design provides a mechanical interference fit on the shaft. These Sure-Grip tapered, QD-type interchangeable bushings offer flexible and easy installation while still providing exceptional holding power for many critical systems. Torque range: 1,750 to 625,000 lb-in (197 to 70,615 Nm) Typical applications: Sheaves, pulleys, sprockets, gears, couplings
TB Wood's Taper-Lock bushings are high-quality parts offered by Clutch Engineering. Their intuitive construction keeps the hub smaller, allowing closer mounting to bearings and other equipment. These precision engineered bushings are compatible with a great variety of applications and they are designed to provide a mechanical interference fit on the shaft. Achieving full bushing contact on the shaft is recommended to insure proper bushing/hub performance. These products are specially made to deliver optimal performance for many mechanical applications. Torque range: 1,200 to 416,000 lb-in (135 to 47,000 Nm) Typical applications: Sheaves, pulleys, sprockets, gears, couplings
The Twiflex Turning, Locking, and Braking System (TLB) is offered by Clutch Engineering and it is constructed with an innovative design that reduces costs. These products reduce the space required for use, and minimize installation and maintenance time, which all supports your bottom line. All three of these important functions, including turning, locking, and breaking, are combined into a single highly-functional system. The useful TLB system is fully designed and built in-house by Twiflex. Additional optional local controls are available. Turning torques up to 334,850 lb-ft (454,000 Nm) Braking and locking torques up to 635,780 lb-ft (862,000 Nm) Typical application: Marine propulsion
