Gear Couplings

Clutch Engineering offers a great selection of high-quality gear couplings. These relatively compact couplings are made to provide a large torque capacity without the need for a larger coupling. These couplings are able to overcome issues with misalignment through the use of gear teeth. They can be integrated into a variety of systems and have minimum backlash. Gear couplings can also be installed vertically or horizontally, to fulfill your specific torsional needs. If you have any questions about our wide variety of gear coupling solutions, contact our team directly.

Amerigear Gear Coupling

Clutch Engineering offers Ameridrives Amerigear gear couplings for connecting shafts in situations that can involve misalignment or tight spacing requirements. The flexible coupling method is a vital and necessary technique for connecting rotating shafts in various instances. These products use a specially designed fully-crowned tooth to provide maximum torque capacity while minimizing the size of the part itself. A flexible coupling is meant to perform three main functions, which include: effectively coupling together two different shafts, compensating for all types of misalignment, and compensating for end or axial movement of the coupled shafts. Torque range: 158 to 86,083 lb-ft (214 to 116,712 Nm) Typical applications: Pumps, conveyors, compressors, cranes, presses, steel mills

Continuous Sleeve Gear Couplings

Clutch Engineering offers Lovejoy continuous sleeve couplings for use with industrial applications such as mills, pumps, and many other machinery use cases. These products are are simple and highly-compatible with applications requiring horizontal and vertical orientation. They are also affordable, to support your bottom line as you install and enhance critical machinery. The patented BUNA N seal design keeps lubricant in and contaminants out. Standard C type couplings are available, as well as special variations such as mill motor, floating shaft, drop-out spacer, and shear pin types. Designs are appropriate for many applications that include full-flex, flex-rigid, mill-motor, disengagement, sliding hubs, shear pin, floating shaft, and spacers. Torque range: 2,500 to 2,520,000 lb-in (300 to 284,700 Nm) Typical applications: Steel mills, paper mills, pumps, logging machinery

Flanged Sleeve Gear Couplings

Clutch Engineering offers Lovejoy flanged sleeve gear couplings that feature the patented Vari-Crown tooth form. These flanged sleeve gear couplings can be used effectively in horizontal or vertical applications and they also deliver minimum backlash. Exposed and shrouded bolt models are available to meet the needs of your systems. The specialized Vari-Crown tooth form leads to long life in the coupling, which improves your bottom line by supporting longer machine uptime and less maintenance costs. The F Type coupling is made of two flex hubs, two sleeves and one accessory kit. This advanced coupling is supplied with exposed bolts as standard. Shrouded bolts are available upon request through size 5.5. Torque range: 7,600 to 1,827,000 lb-in (850 to 206,400 Nm) Typical applications: Steel mills, paper mills, pumps, logging machinery

Gear Coupling

Renold Gearflex gear couplings, offered by Clutch Engineering, feature a higher capacity tooth through optimized tooth design. These products reach an impressive power capacity within a small envelope and they have fantastic capacity for misalignment. Single and double engagement types are both available for this product option. These features, in combination with the improved properties of forged alloy material, provides a maximized power density in terms of both weight and diameter. Torque range: 1,050 to 3,501,207 lb-ft (1.4 to 4,747 kNm) Typical applications: Cranes, steel mills, mining machinery
