Lovejoy L and AL type jaw couplings are specially designed coupling products available from Clutch Engineering. AL couplings feature aluminum hubs to achieve a lighter weight and enhanced corrosion protection. The AL Type coupling is made from two hubs and one spider. Lovejoy offers the largest variety of stock bore/keyway combinations in the industry. These jaw couplings require no lubrication and are very reliable under various conditions. AL Type couplings use the same spiders as L Type couplings, except AL150 which has four jaws instead of three.

Clutch Engineering offers these well-made Lovejoy CJ type curved jaw couplings for applications such as pumps, gear boxes, compressors, mixers, and more. Lovejoy CJ jaw couplings are a mechanical solution with improved torsional softness, compared to standard jaw couplings. Urethane spiders integrated into the product are designed to provide high abrasion resistance and elasticity, along with good damping characteristics. These couplings are easy to install and they can be used in a fail-safe capacity, due to their ability to continue a transfer of torque in the event of the elastomer failing. There are four different elastomers available, to best fit the needs of your system. The spiders are available in a variety of shore hardnesses, each providing a different level of torque capacity, damping, and chemical resistance.

These flanged sleeve gear couplings can be used effectively in horizontal or vertical applications and they also deliver minimum backlash. Exposed and shrouded bolt models are available to meet the needs of your systems. The specialized Vari-Crown tooth form leads to long life in the coupling, which improves your bottom line by supporting longer machine uptime and less maintenance costs. The F Type coupling is made of two flex hubs, two sleeves and one accessory kit. This advanced coupling is supplied with exposed bolts as standard. Shrouded bolts are available upon request through size 5.5.

These products are are simple and highly-compatible with applications requiring horizontal and vertical orientation. They are also affordable, to support your bottom line as you install and enhance critical machinery. The patented BUNA N seal design keeps lubricant in and contaminants out. Standard C type couplings are available, as well as special variations such as mill motor, floating shaft, drop-out spacer, and shear pin types. Designs are appropriate for many applications that include full-flex, flex-rigid, mill-motor, disengagement, sliding hubs, shear pin, floating shaft, and spacers.

Clutch Engineering offers Lovejoy SU type industrial disc couplings for use with industrial fans, compressors, hoists, and more. These couplings consist of two hubs and one disc pack, they are only suitable for angular and axial misalignment. Additionally, these are designed to function without ever needing maintenance or lubrication. These products use are no wear parts, and infinite life is possible with correct alignment. These specialized parts can also be heated up to high temperatures, usually 450º F to 600º F (235º C to 315º C). Lovejoy disc coupling hubs are shipped with Interference Fit bores, unless otherwise specified.

Clutch Engineering provides high-quality Lovejoy SX type industrial disc couplings for various industrial applications such as blowers, fans, compressors, and more. These specially designed parts have similarities to type SU, but they have two disc packs. These products can be found in use with mechanical systems for industrial blowers, fans, compressors, and many more applications. An advantage of these couplings is that they feature two flex planes, which allows them to accommodate parallel misalignment. These couplings are also torsionally rigid and they are able to transfer torque without backlash. For all Lovejoy disc coupling hubs with taper bores and taper bores with keyways, Lovejoy manufactures these hubs with bores using tolerances and specifications that are supplied by the customer.

Available from Clutch Engineering, Lovejoy horizontally split grid couplings can be integrated into various systems, while allowing easy access to the grid. The gasket and seal kit consists of 2- seals and the appropriate gasket(s). These couplings are a fantastic option in many systems where parts are being installed within small and tight spaces. These advanced couplings are also able to cushion shock loads and dampen vibration by up to 30%. Couplings from size 1020 to 1090 are supplied with coupling grease.

Clutch Engineering offers Lovejoy shaft locking devices (SLD) that can connect hubs solidly to shafts in applications such as sheaves, sprockets, drive shafts, and more. These specially manufactured parts use a keyless mechanical interference fit. They also feature adjustable screw tension to expand the SLD to fill the gap between hub and shaft as needed. This option makes them easy to install and remove, and importantly, allows hubs to be positioned on the shaft accurately and effectively. The Lovejoy SLD 900 Shaft Locking Device is engineered to provide an efficient, high capacity, zero backlash, hub-to-shaft connection using a specialized mechanical interference fit.
