SOLUTION

Closed loop cooling systems from CEC can handle all of these and more. We offer 6 standard sizes up to 250 thermal horsepower with larger sizes available on request. The photo shows a recent installation at a Connecticut steel mill. Our Model 50 is shown cooling a Wichita -124 Kopper Kool Brake on an uncoiler on a slitting line. The maximum line speed is 900 feet per minute with a total tension on the material of 2,000 pounds. The customer specified our cooler due to the problems and costs of being on city water along with the ease of installation due to its pre-assembled configuration. This also allows the cooler to be located close to the equipment, minimizing plumbing effort and costs.
